We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join the IT Operations organization as a member of the Operational Readiness Team. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with various IT teams and ensuring IT Operations is positioned to successfully support new applications/systems. This role is responsible for leading the collection, analysis, documentation, and coordination of IT projects making sure that IT Operations is ready to take support. This includes monitoring, batch processing, configuration/change management processes, run books, and failover capabilities along with the actions Operations will take in a response to a particular alert or event. You will act as the primary interface for IT Operations and will also serve as the liaison between IT project/development teams and IT Operations teams. You will be a key contributor for increasing the awareness of the IT Operations Organization.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for ensuring that IT systems are known, healthy, and meet operational acceptance criteria and expectations
• Validate THD IT Operations has what is required to fully support and operate services/systems/applications in alignment with expected requirements
• Effectively highlight where improvements could be made in IT Operations ability to deliver services or support systems/applications
• Maintain tracking of activities as projects progress through the various review boards from Project Baseline, Architecture Review (ARB), and Implementation Review (IRB).
• Ensure the Operational Readiness function is effective and efficient, and continually improves

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

Develop detail Business or Systems requirements for approved complex projects and enhancements to existing large-scale projects. Conduct interviews and requirements gathering workshops. Ensure sign-off of all artifacts.

Develop requirements trace-ability matrix, which is charted and documented through each phase of the project life-cycle. Develop System Requirement Specification (SRS) or Systems External Specifications.

Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT Infrastructure teams.

Assist with identifying and estimating the cost of projects that are submitted through the strategic planning process.

May provide expert guidance and direction to Business Analyst.

NATURE AND SCOPE -

Typically reports toManager - Service Management

No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

• Broad understanding of technology with specific knowledge of IT Operations
• Strong and demonstrable knowledge of IT Operations practices and methodologies
• Strong ability to work independently, define priorities, and escalate where appropriate.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or relevant experience
• Demonstrated project & process leadership experience and the ability to build strong relationships with IT and Business stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in aspects of infrastructure management and operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Outstanding interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and decision-making skills
• ITIL Foundations Certified, Business Process Improvement Training, or Six Sigma certification preferred
• Retail/business experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

Ability to succinctly identify and document business requirements.

Expert analytical and problem solving skills along with strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

Strong ability to influence business owners and senior management.

Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical, while working independently with minimal direction.

Ability to understand existing business processes and lead efforts to re-engineer processes.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
