POSITION PURPOSE -
The Online Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for performing quality assurance duties for site enhancements, ad hoc projects and large strategic initiatives for homedepot.com. This position requires an expert level of knowledge in multiple areas of expertise, including QA methodologies. To be successful in this role, the analyst must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires excellent communication skills with team members. In addition, the successful QA Analyst must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects and display exceptional attention to detail.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
- Report defects and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Validate business requirements and functional specifications.
- Prepare detailed quality assurance time estimates when needed.
- Position reports to Manager, Quality Assurance
- No direct responsibility for supervising others.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass pre-employment background check
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must successfully pass any applicable pre-employment testing
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Experience testing web based applications with an emphasis on e-commerce / retail.
- Basic understanding of software project development concepts and quality control methodologies.
- Familiarity with Windows applications in all environments and operating systems.
- Strong understanding of the nuances of browser compatibility.
- Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail while self-managing assigned tasks and projects.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team.
