As a national leader in the home infusion field, we seek those special Pharmacy Technician individuals who not only possess compounding clinical expertise, but the kind of deep compassion and sensitivity it takes to treat people in their homes. As a Pharmacy Technician on the clinical support team, you will assist the pharmacist by communicating directly with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Track lab data and process prescription refills utilizing a proprietary health record software system to manage the specialized and complex therapies dispensed. You will use your clinical knowledge and customer services skills along with the pharmacist to provide specialty infusion services administered to patients in their homes. Make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patient's one on one care.

Key responsibilities:

* Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communication with patients.

* Gather information for the initial admission of new patients and review all new charts to ensure that all necessary nursing paperwork is included.

* Manage the schedule for patient deliveries, manage inventory, create and maintain supply templates in the pharmacy computer data base.

* Document all supply management activities in the patient medical record.

* Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

Required Qualifications:

* Current license in state of employment and eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations. Additional licensure may be required in multi state service areas.

* National pharmacy technician certification.

* At least one year experience compounding IV admixtures as a pharmacy technician.

* Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Home infusion experience

* Experience with medical insurance

* Experience in medical terminology.

Education:

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Business Overview:
