We have a full-time opening for a Maitre’d.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a 4 / 5 star establishment as Maître D’ or 3 years as Head Waiter/ess
• Customer service experience required
REQUIREMENTS
• Able to communicate clearly in and possess a good command of verbal and written English.
Additional language skills would be a distinct advantage and benefit
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a 4 / 5* establishment as Maître D’ or 3 years as Head Waiter/ess
• Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guests needs and requirements
• A genuine interest and understanding in food and drink – wine and cocktail knowledge is essential
• Exceptional communication and presentational skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to think on your feet and under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and attention to detail
• Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks to ensure work load is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately. Ability to multitask
• Ability to work as part of a small team and independently and use initiative
• A natural ability and confidence to sell / promote is a distinct
