Job Summary:
Assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing safe and competent direct and indirect patient care for patients of all age groups in accordance with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center policies, standards and philosophy and provides professional leadership and support to health team members. Responsible for integrating nursing theory into practice using the nursing process. Uses excellent verbal and written communication skills to problem solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Plans and organizes patient care activities. Functions independently and in a team. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute care emergency services setting.
Training: ACLS, (within 90 days of hire), PALS (within 90 days of hire) BLS
Licensure: Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
