Bank of America's Specializes Industries Banking group is seeking a Commercial Associate for our For Profit HealthCare Group. For Profit HealthCare group is part of the Commercial Bank which serves public and private companies, with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion. This position will be based in Boston, MA.

Participates as an integral member of the core Client Team, servicing the middle market commercial clients. Takes an active role throughout the business development process for both existing clients and prospects by: studying the impact of current market/industry conditions; preparing analytical background information on public and private clients/prospects; performing valuation analyses; modeling the impact of transitions/alternative capital structures; putting together comparable peer group analyses; preparing presentation materials; and coordinating with product and/or industry specialists throughout the course of a transaction. Serves as the key back-up to the Client Manager in handling all aspects of the client's servicing needs and may also mentor/coach junior analysts. Must possess solid analytical and technical capabilities and a demonstrated ability to broadly apply these skills. Work efforts must be thorough and focused, exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills. Able to work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks, and is able to connect analytical work to the client needs and strategic objectives. Experience should include an undergraduate degree with a solid background in accounting and/or finance and 3 years experience in the following: corporate finance, derivatives, syndications, F/X, and/or private placements. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Factset, and Securities Data Corporation databases is also helpful.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area

Minimum 3 years of previous business experience, credit skills preferred

Demonstrates initiative / self motivation

Possesses strong interpersonal skills

Possesses strong analytical and modeling skills

Possesses understanding of corporate financial statements

Demonstrates strong critical thinking

Demonstrates the ability to independently make decisions

Licensing may be required

Knowledge and proficiency of internal/external programs such as Navigator, GUS, CapIQ, Pitchbook, Factset, etc
