Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Performs, shipping, receiving, and other miscellaneous warehouse functions as required.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Load, unload and pick merchandise as needed. May be required to lift or assist in lifting merchandise weighing over 50 lbs., by hand of motorized equipment.
2. Operate motorized material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
3. Move material or merchandise to storage or staging area.
4. Examine stock for deterioration and damage and report to Warehouse Supervisor.
5. Store, stack or palletize items in accordance with established storage methods, considering such factors as size, weight, quantity, spoilage and safety.
6. May assist in counting inventory and rearrange inventory as needed.
7. Assemble, prepare, and check merchandise to be loaded onto trucks for shipments to stores and dealers.
8. Insure shipments are properly labeled, and packed.
9. May assist in other areas of the Warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
