Looking for a Senior IT Architect with strong experience in distributed systems architecture and heavy identity and access management domain experience. Ideal candidate should ideally have a heavy development background on large enterprise applications in more than one language, ideally Java, Scala in one of them. Hands-on knowledge and adoption of GoF and functional patterns, ability to show system designs using UML class diagrams. In this role you must possess excellent problem solving skills with strong aptitude in appreciating the focus, scope and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate a history of on-time delivery, excellent communication, and a positive go-getter attitude.

 

Candidate will be required to capture the requirements for application architecture changes and identify the techniques and technologies that should be applied at the distributed application level; help define the system and operational requirements that the underlying infrastructure must support; and identify, analyze and address any inter-application dependencies and interfaces. You will work with the Architects to determine the most appropriate application design and coding practices to achieve the performance and scalability requirements.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Be a principle contributor to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership

  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers

  • Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity

  • Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team

  • Estimate engineering work effort for engineering team and effectively identify and prioritize the high impact tasks

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines

  • Drive a quality mindset within the team

Requirements


Requirements:


  • Strong IAM and application/SOA security background

  • 7+ years of hands-on application architecture and design background on large scale enterprise heterogeneous applications especially across multiple operating systems, languages, and middleware technologies

  • Rationalizing, consolidating, or simplifying multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments

  • Demonstrable hands-on development background in any language, Java, Scala or other JVM based language preferred

  • Hands-on experience in demonstrating system architecture and design using UML diagrams

  • Ability to demonstrate system architecture using 4+1 views

  • Equal aptitude on both web based and SOA based offerings

  • Hands-on ability to work both on SOAP and REST based services

  • Live knowledge of best tools and frameworks available thru commercial and open source markets and ability to map their use in IAM applications

  • Hands-on experience with any commercial IAM/WAM product in WAM, Federation, OAuth, API management domains

  • Working with multiple SDLC methodologies, including Agile/Scrum

  • Capability domain blueprinting

  • Success working in a consensus based culture

 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • CISSP Certification

  • Strong hands-on Java/JEE experience

  • Capability domain blueprinting

  • Direct project experience involving – XACML, OAuth, Open ID Connect, UMA, WS-Security
