Occupational Health Nurse PRN - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary:

The Occupational Health RN is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Employee Health functions for Memorial Hospital employees and other workers as contractually obligated. Provides health care services to the organization's employees in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of Memorial Hospital.

Essential Duties:

-Assess needs of individual employees and provide services as related to functions of Employee Health.

- Assist as assigned with Clinic 1 services: TB screening, vaccine administration, communicable disease and blood exposure protcols, initial job related injury assessnment, Meditech lab order entry / results evaluation, and record documentation

-Assist as assigned with Clinic 2 services: post offer medical screening, drug screening, lab blood draws, N 95 mask fit testing, TB screening, Meditech lab order entry / results evaluation, and record documentation

-Maintains data sign-in sheets for services provided per facility for individual employees and other medical personnel as indicated

-Assist with data entry in Employee Health component of Lawson

-Assist with implementation of FMLA, LOA, and Workers' Comp processes

-Assist with maintenance of Employee Health files

-Other duties as assigned within the Employee Health/Human Resources areas .

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take approriate action.

Required Education:

Graduate of Nursing School

Required License/Certification:

Florida RN License

Required Experience:

1-3 years of nursing expereince

Preferred Education:

Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)

Preferred License/Certification:

Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Preferred Experience

1 to 3 years of Occupational Health experience
