About this job
Performs cleaning functions in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Experience: EVS Associate I -- No experience required. EVS Associate II requires at least 3 years housekeeping or related experience along with demonstrated ability to function well in this demanding role.
Special Qualifications: Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers and vacuums. Visual acuity to detail cleanliness. Reasoning ability, as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet demands of those units or areas. EVS II is the designated lead housekeeper in the absence of the supervisor or coordinator.
