Position Summary: The Lead EVS Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area on patient floors, public areas, and employee areas. When a supervisor is not present, the Lead EVS Assistant supervises assigned employees in Environmental Services, coordinates work assignments to assure maximum productivity and quality, and answers all house calls.

Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: NA

B. Education: Must be able to read and understand English for safety. High school diploma or GED preferred.

C. Experience: Housekeeping in the healthcare industry desirable.

Working knowledge of how to clean a patient room and how to use floor equipment to maintain floors.

D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work for an extended amount of time on your feet.. Must have both internal and external customer service skills. Able to work in a fast paced environment. Good organization skills is a must. Must be supportive of all hospital and management goals, including following and enforcing a ll policies and procedures.

IV. Orientation Period: 4 months
