Sodexo is seeking an experienced Environmental Services General Manager 4 for Children's Hospital of Boston, MA. This is a high profile blue chip account and teaching facility with over 392 licensed beds and over 2 million cleanable square feet including 15 remote buildings across the campus.
The ideal candidate for this position will have solid knowledge of Sodexo ES Systems and processes including TRAKKAR, UOS, Gold Check, ENGAGE and Black Light inspections. High energy for fast paced environment. Client engagement and patient satisfaction is essential for the success of this role. The preferred candidate will oversee the professional development, training and scheduling for 100 non-union hourly employees and managers and will have solid ES/Custodial Management background in a large hospital environment. Must have a proven track record as a strong leader/mentor and be familiar with hospital regulations, bed-tracking and floor care systems. Financial responsibility for the unit is at 4 million. Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited managing and conducing staff meetings for Managers, Supervisors, Leads & Environmental staff. Maintain documentation for Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance, oversee quality assurance program to include inspection scheduling, conduct daily quality inspections and record keeping. This is a 1st shift position and the Custodial/Housekeeping General Manager will be required to participate in a rotational "on call" schedule involving rotating weekends and holidays.
Position Summary
Directs all housekeeping operations at a single unit. Supervises all cleaning personnel. Responsible for maintaining payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 4 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
