Job Summary :
The position of production operator located in Rockland, MA will be responsible for the daily operation of production equipment. The applicant is responsible for meeting production targets, sustaining quality targets, following operating procedures. This individual is expected to adhere to 3M safety policies and general employment policies.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work safely and follow all safety policies
- Effectively communicate all issues to supervisor or appropriate personnel
- Complete accurately and in a timely manner, all required production reports and quality data entries utilizing PMCS/OPRA and designated software
- Review Manufacturing Order schedule and prepare/plan for upcoming production runs
- Plan and execute job setup/changeovers while striving for maximum efficiency and quality output
- Operates machine to meet or exceed targets based on job specifications and work instructions
- Load and unload material on and off the machine, and pack finished product per job specification
- Maintain housekeeping at machine areas according to established standards
- Master all controls and consoles related to the whole operation on production equipment
- Be proficient in web handling, tension control, slitting and winding methods
- Monitor and document productivity results as well as reason for misses utilizing designated tools to support tier review process
- Acquire proficiency of all testing procedures required, data input and maintenance of testing records
- May be required to assist with training of co-workers on an as-needed basis
- Perform any miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee
- Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving
- May handle, generate and/or conduct hazardous waste or waste inspections
This position will require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working on holidays as needed
- Short notice call in
- Working a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or weekend shift depending on shift availability
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of manufacturing experience
- Intermediate computer knowledge or higher
- Strong written and verbal skills
Location: Rockland, MA
Relocation: Is not authorized
