The AOG Department is a centralized communications point for Field Maintenance, Supply, Technical Services, Base Supply to coordinate material requirements for out-of-service aircraft, aircraft flying on continued restrictive MEL's, base critical and MRO support, and aircraft engines in repair where work flow is impeded due to the lack of material. Duties include directing shipments of AA material when available; the purchase and/or borrow of material not available within the AA system and the loan and/or sell of AA material to other airlines. Handle special projects relating to materials management reliability performance. Extensive knowledge in materials management or related field. Knowledge of AA's supply procedure and materials transportation, with a background in inventory control/warehousing. Knowledge of purchasing and charge codes.
Qualifications
Job will be located in the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) in GSW
Possess a two (2) year college degree in an aircraft maintenance field
1 year experience in material management
2 years' experience in an aircraft maintenance and/or flight operations/logistics field.
1 to 2 years Supply Chain or Aircraft Maintenance
Knowledge of AA maintenance programs and flight schedules desirable
Extensive knowledge of AA supply transactions
Ability to use SABRE in DECS/RES mode required and basic knowledge of SAP
Ability to navigate and work with AA Web based systems (MAPS, ASOM, VIANET)
Knowledge of ATA codes on aircraft systems
Must be familiar with aircraft parts and use DECS/FRT/SAP to secure part information and tracing
Must be able to make time critical decisions
Must be able to work in stressful situations during peak operations
Ability to communicate in a calm, effective and concise manner in stressful situations
Must be able to work shift work and holidays in a 24/7 operation
