Staffmark is partnering with a large manufacturer in the Knoxville area offering an excellent direct hire opportunity for a talented Maintenance Supervisor. A preferred Engineering background that will enable the opportunity for growth within the company. A qualified candidate will perform the following responsibilites.

Coaching, supervising and training skilled craftspeople, apprentices and laborers in the repair and maintenance activities of the plant on a round-the-clock basis.

Single point of contact accountable for maintenance activities in the plant.

Perform front line trouble shooting activities on equipment.

Directing the safety awareness program for their workforce and manage safe work performance, maintaining housekeeping and assisting the Production team in area safety analysis

Leading TPM and PM and other outage activities on equipment

Planning the daily activities of the maintenance crews, providing the tools, materials and technical direction for the normal maintenance, preventative maintenance and the capital work

Perform root cause analysis and "5-why" techniques with the goal to eliminate maintenance downtime

Working with Engineering on the repetitive maintenance problems to continuously improve the reliability of the equipment and facilities

Coordinate and manage the development of maintenance work procedures and standard practices to maximize quality work and eliminate waste

Drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate all waste, especially as related to maintenance downtime, safety, work practices and employee involvement

Assist other Supervisors as needed

Effectively manage applicable labor issues within department

Perform administrative requirements to effectively manage work force

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: Previous maintenance supervisory experience (minimum 3 years) in a metal fabrication or comparable plant environment is required. Prior hands-on maintenance experience in a similar manufacturing environment Project Management Maintenance Capital and Expense Management MRO Crib Management Automation and Controls (PLC) Experience Engineering background preferred
