Role Qualifications: *Ability to speak and communicate well with people *Experience in retail and merchandising in a big box environment a huge plus *Demonstrate Staples values; Own it, Say it like it is, Be Caring, Keep it Simple, and Work Together every shift Position Responsibilities: *Replenish the merchandise on the sales floor *Provide basic customer service; Greeting and assisting customers on the sales floor *Assist with breaking down and putting away freight deliveries *Bagging or assisting with customer carry out *Will NOT be trained to operate a register *Assist other team members with assigned tasks *Maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees and customers *Adheres to all company policies procedures & safety standards Preferred Skills required: *Good communication and customer service skills *The ability to work alone or as a member of a team *Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time *Must be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks *Must be able to lift 50 pounds of weight as needed throughout assigned workday *Must be able to work in precarious or high locations and also be able to climb and descend ladders *Able to engage and speak to customers and offer assistance or connect them with the appropriate team member
