Payroll & Administrative Assistant (part-time - 30 hours/week) This position is responsible for maintaining, preparing, and processing payroll information for affiliated Hoya companies. Additional duties include providing administrative support to HOYA Holdings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Processing: *Maintain, prepare and process payroll information *Prepare internal reports and external reports related to payroll *Ensure timely and accurate payments to employees *Audit timesheets for hours worked, approval signatures and accuracy *Submit related check requests for payroll deductions Administrative Support: *Assist in posting and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. *Assist in the processing and preparing of month-end and quarter-end reports. *Prepare and process check requests as needed. *Other administrative duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE *High School graduate plus 2 years community college course work or comparable combination of education and experience. *2-4 years of full-cycle ADP payroll processing experience (knowledge and experience using payXpert and ezLabor strongly desired). LANGUAGE SKILLS *Excellent oral and written English communication skills are needed. *Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, vendors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS *Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions. *Payroll processing knowledge is required. *Sufficient skill to type and enter alpha and numeric data. REASONING ABILITY Demonstrated ability in problem solving. Ability to interpret input from various sources, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and propose solutions.
