Honeywell's Clearwater, Florida campus is home to the Military Aircraft, Helicopter and Surface (MAHS) department which is part of the Sensing, Guidance and Navigation Defense organization. The MAHS group is in need of a Systems Engineering Intern with entry level technical knowledge to work on inertial sensor based products. The candidate will work with solid state Gyro, Accelerometer and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology in support of navigation, attitude, survey and targeting operations.
The intern candidate will have an opportunity for the following:
Gain systems engineering experience.
Learn engineering principles and processes as implemented in a real world environment.
Work with other engineers in solving complex problems.
Gain experience in working in multi-disciplined cross-functional teams.
Gain hands on experience with inertial and GPS navigation systems.
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, in Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
U.S. Citizenship required, due to ITAR requirements.
Must be able to complete an internship prior to graduating.
Additional Qualifications
Intern or College Level lab or project experience is plus.
Applicable technical knowledge working within the following disciplines - Surface/Aircraft Inertial Navigation, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), system integration, and/or field integration
Ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
