To further support these strategic initiatives, we are enhancing our talent management team with a role dedicated to supporting our internal human capital initiatives. 

A successful Senior Human Capital Management Strategist will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Statistics, Economics, Human Resources or three years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly analytical with advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with Oracle or similar Human Resources management systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with all levels of organizational staff from frontline employees to senior executives
  • Consistently demonstrate flexibility, innovation and ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Possess excellent critical thinking, change management, presentation/facilitation, talent focus, business acumen, relationship management and HR acumen
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel 10% of the time

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Build and execute a data-driven strategy to help us recruit, develop, retain and deploy talent throughout DISH. You will utilize our talent and succession planning systems to identify potential talent in and outside DISH for open positions
  • Drive our corporate and department-level selection questionnaire improvement plan including pre-hire, promotion-based and developmental questionnaires
  • Support employee engagement improvement efforts by collaborating with our HR Advisor Team to create data-based action plans with department leaders

 

The right candidate will possess a balance of analytical and relationship building skills as well as experience with HR management systems from Oracle/SAP (or similar technology). This role supports four important aspects of Human Resources: Talent & Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Leadership Development and Questionnaires.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Provide specialized reporting, in depth analysis and propose improvement solutions working closely with the HR leadership team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on engagement survey, system and database to support our survey administration, research requests and the action planning process
  • Monitor and respond to DISH Questionnaire and Talent-Planning e-mail box inquiries daily
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors including Questionnaire and Employee Engagement partners
  • Assist with training administration and facilitation of leadership development (LEAD) program, New Hire Orientation and other courses as needed, including registration, materials, facilitator schedule and general program support
  • Serve as Knowledge Manager as we create libraries of HR and leadership articles, books, case studies, etc for LEAD and HR function
