Primary Responsibilities:
- Positions in this function prepare and maintain the organization's federal, state and local tax records, returns, corporate tax reports and other related materials
- Works with state and federal agencies on tax audits
- Prepares and reviews income tax accounting necessary for the organization's federal (SEC) and state (Insurance Departments and Managed Healthcare) filings
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field required
- 1 plus years of Corporate Tax experience
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise
- Investigates non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others
- Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
- Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insurance Tax Accounting experience
- OneSource
- ASC 740 (FAS109) experience
- SSAP101 experience
- Previous audit experience
- CPA or graduate degree
