Environmental Field Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Our client has an opening for a civil and environmental field technician to support the Western NJ Office
• Performance of Soil logs for engineering projects (permeability testing and soil classification for projects such as septic system design, foundation design, stormwater basin design, etc.)
• Environmental Sampling for site remediation projects (water and soil sample collection and logging of soil borings)
• Compiling and Preparing Organized and Detailed Field Notes
• Construction oversight of various engineering projects
• Coordinating Soil Sample Testing and Submission

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in engineering, environmental, or engineering technology from an accredited university
• 1-5+ years experience in a related field
• Prior experience preferred but not required
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Ability to start at 7-8 AM depending on location of field work
• Ability to make real-time decisions based upon field conditions
• Ability to read and understand regulations and apply them to the project
