3M is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for the 3M Traffic Safety and Security Division located in Maplewood, MN. Be part of what's next!
Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the US manufacturing operations within our License Plate and Secure Materials Businesses.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership to execute manufacturing and supply chain strategies to achieve business segment objectives
- Manage and drive improvements for the extended value streams within the assigned areas of responsibility to meet COGS and LSS cost savings targets, quality objectives, customer service expectations, and inventory targets
- Participate in strategic plan development and execution
- Provide direct leadership to Registration and Fulfillment Services locations in Georgia and New Jersey
- Provide leadership to the Graphic Design group and License Plate Printing Technical Service Organization
- Participate in key NPI development programs
- Foster an environment where new or disruptive technology is deployed for new and existing processes. Ensure investments are made commensurate with improvement needs and operational goals
- Manage contract manufacturing locations
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline form an accredited university
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- seven (7) years of experience in engineering and/or production management in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Proven track record of managing a manufacturing or technical organization to achieve operational objectives on EHS, Quality, Service & Inventory and COGS
- Certified LSS BB or MBB
- Proven skills in team-building, coaching and change management
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading regional or global teams
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 20% (domestic/international)
Relocation: Is not authorized
