** This position will be focusing on New York City and the Metropolitan New York City area including Northern New Jersey, Westchester County NY, Long Island and Fairfield County CT. **

Telework Specifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develops and cultivates strong relationships with key external (producers, plan sponsors and/or consumers depending on business) and internal (cross sale) constituents to maximize sales opportunities and achieve profitable growth.

- Maintain primary responsibility for all new business generation for groups of 2-99 globally mobile employees and work in connection with Regional Sales Vice Presidents on larger sales efforts.

- Maintain primary responsibility for selling Aetna International's trust-based products (2-50 eligible employees) through internal distribution channels (Regional Business and National Accounts) and through external channels (primarily through brokers, consultants or directly to plan sponsors).

- Coordinate with Regional Sales Vice Presidents in cultivating relationships with Aetna's key regional distribution channels (brokers, agents and consultants) in both the domestic and international marketplace.

- Responsible for supporting regional strategies to attain net sales growth objectives assigned in their region, covering multiple states.

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSE:

- Health Insurance license.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 1-5+ years of insurance industry experience with demonstrated sales experience relevant to healthcare insurance business segment.

- International experiences of interest, but not required; willing to look at candidates who don't have international sales experience.

- Ability to prospect for new business/cold call is desired.

- Experience with putting together sales proposals and perform/lead sales presentations.

- Strong oral/written communication skills are required.

- Experience using the MS Office products.

- Sales: Selling Products and Services, Knowing Customers, Knowing Markets and Cultivating Distribution Channels

- General Business: Managing Sales Relationships and Demonstrating Business and Industry Acumen.
