Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager for 214 resident skilled and rehab facility, Manorcare Sinking Spring, located in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, nearby Reading. The Food Service Manager will support General Manager managing the food service operations at this facility, will ensure proper production and sanitation techniques are utilized. Will provide managerial support one day per week at a nearby ManorCare facility.
The Food Service Manager must be hands-on, will cook 2 days a week, must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents with the goal of creating dining experiences, not just meals. Best qualified candidate will possess basic culinary knowledge, strong supervisory and customer service skills with the ability to develop staff. This position will report to the General Manager and manage a total staff of approximately 15-20 hourly employees.

Position Summary
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
