About this job

Facilities Engineer is responsible for the managing of the maintenance work through the CMMS system. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Originates and develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes using predictive technologies.

Holding technicians accountable for both work completion and quality of work.

Accountable as the resource conservation lead delivering on the action plans.

Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures

Responsible for the facilities maintenance programs including but not limited too; boilers, HVAC, high voltage, steam lines, building, grounds, compressed air, etc..

Performs detailed/routine engineering calculations involving relatively simple tests.

Champions the simple root cause analysis process and helps others in root cause failures analysis to avoid future failures.

Works under supervision of the maintenance manager and receives guidance from the maintenance FLL's in the use of standard company procedures for timely completion of all work activities.

Demonstrates a high proficiency with all fundamental project management skills

Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.

Motivate and hold people accountable to the core values and our company policy and procedure

Performs other work as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have basic computer and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Must be able to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with; mechanics, FLL's, planners, engineers, managers, store room personnel, operations and vendors.

Must be able to give direction to maintenance resources and assign work task in the absences of an FLL.

This position requires the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and to prioritize tasks as the work load and situations change during the day.

Must be able to read and use parts manuals, understand machine drawings, use computer system programs (Champs, email).

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years' experience in a maintenance department, preferably in the food industry in a facilities role.

Must possess a BS degree in Facilities/Engineer or related field.

Position requires a good attendance record. The work involved includes standing, sitting and the ability to climb stairs.
