Recruiting Assistant

Job Summary: To assist recruiter and account managers, as well as business owners by performing administrative, clerical and recruiting support functions, process payroll, maintain files and procedures, and offer marketing assistance, including internet-related functions/updates, attract candidates and clientele. This individual will often be the first point of contact for candidates and clients by phone and in-office and must be professional as well as service and customer-oriented.

Working Conditions: This employee will be working an 8 hour day coving part of our business hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Employee should be willing to work overtime if needed. Employee may be asked to run periodic errands such as purchasing supplies for the break room or dropping off mail at the post office, once per week. Employee must have their own method of dependable transportation.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Heavy phone experience, inside and out
  • Greeting and screening clients
  • Office Administration
  • File Management & Clerical Support
  • Payroll and Tracking A/P & A/R
  • Recruiting Support & Resource Development
  • Marketing Development and support, utilizing direct marketing as well as Social Media/Internet tools
  • On-Going Projects & Other Essential Tasks as Needed



    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Active and knowledgeable about Social Media as it pertains to business development and cultivation.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping
  • Knowledge of modern business communication: Includes style and format of letters and memoranda, formatting emails, creating email and letter templates and mail merges.
  • Skill to type 50 words per minute
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
  • Ability to create job ads and job templates
  • Ability to multi-task and handle variable paced office environment.

    Credentials and Experience:
  • 2 years minimum experience performing administrative and clerical duties
  • Marketing or Sales-related Customer Service background preferred
  • 2 year degree preferred, though not required.





    Technical Skills:

    Advanced knowledge in the following programs is desired: Internet Explorer and online research, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat & creating PDF’s, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, graphic design, and basic html coding

    Supervision:

    This position has minimal supervision. The employee will meet regularly with fellow office staff and, periodically as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments.

    The employee does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

    Basic and Physical Requirements:
  • The employee must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, lift and carry up to 40 lbs., and have the ability to stoop, kneel, reach, and handle objects for filing or stocking items in storage room.
  • Candidate must be 18 years of age and willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Candidate must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Candidate must be able to provide 3 or more references from prior employers, supervisors or mangers.
  • Candidates must have recent, relevant work experience and/or be willing to complete a series of administrative assessments to determine clerical skill level.
  • Candidate must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and be able to adjust as need be

    General Requirements:
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Must be able to provide at least 3 positive, verifiable business references from prior employers or supervisors

    Must have reliable and consistent means of transportation

    Salary:

    Depending on experience, starting pay is $11-15/hour. Advancement and growth opportunities available for the committed individual.
