The Product Manager, within the Cloud Enabled Managed Services group will focus on maintaining and developing new services within the colocation managed hosting market. This individual will also be responsible for managing the evolution of the existing solutions including continuous optimization of the product suite and associated pricing. They will work in cross-functional teams across Service Delivery, Operations, Software Development, to understand and map business requirements, develop and manage product roadmaps, and design/develop new solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the overall product strategy for NaviSite’s hosted and managed services in concert with various cross-functional groups across Time Warner Cable and NaviSite.

• Own and manage comprehensive product roadmap for managed hosting services including but not limited to hosted server management, colocation single-tenant virtualization, firewall management, router/switch management, load balancers. Multi-tenant cloud solutions and backup/storage solutions are out of scope.

• Continuously assess the broader managed hosting and colocation marketplace and competitive landscape; refine/optimize product roadmap to drive greater customer value.

• Establish and manage any external third-party relationships necessary to deliver the offering

• Optimize product profitability by establishing competitive price structures that capture value in the market. Work closely with sales to assess product profitability and success on a continuous basis.

• Work closely with sales operations and support to establish the book to bill support process options and evaluate their cost impact on product margins.

• Meet product and process rationalization and optimization targets by researching and surveying customers, conducting external interviews and soliciting feedback from industry analysts.

• Exhibit thought leadership in the messaging and collaboration space by engaging in various external and internal forums and events, publishing white papers/blog posts, and engaging in social media

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute process improvements or changes to products, including optimization of the underlying technology platform used to provision and enable the customers.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise around technology/services, product development lifecycle in a leadership role, especially in the managed services or colocation space.

• Good knowledge of Hosting services and related subscription-based infrastructure and software services.

• Knowledge of one or more of the following a plus
Cloud
Messaging and Collaboration products
ERP Solutions ( Oracle and Microsoft)
Database technologies
Desktop as a Service and BYOD

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in technology infrastructure/hosting, especially in a product development/management role.

• Good understanding of product marketing, including packaging, collateral development, sales training toolkits, etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

• Experience creating and managing product road maps.

• Strong planning and project management skills.

• Strong leadership skills and experience in driving matrix based processes and development

• Proven knowledge of IT services market specific to Web-based services and Web-based hardware including network and server-based technologies.

• Strong analytical skills including working with complex financial models and ROI models.

• Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with both local and offshore teams.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

• Ability to think and react dynamically in group settings

• Ability to understand and write technical documentation.
