Project Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support on engineering projects for pet food manufacturing plants through all phases of project development and execution. Responsible for the design, development, implementation, start-up and maintenance support on engineering projects.
10% - 25% travel maybe required at times to other plants and equipment suppliers

-Works on specific phases or aspects of projects such as conducting technical studies, budgeting, alternative evaluation, designing / engineering, bidding, economic evaluation, scheduling, preparation of specifications, construction, start-up and troubleshooting
-Support continuous improvement including process improvements
-Be a resource for the maintenance department
-Identify and implement cost reduction projects
-Become subject matter expert on projects and equipment
-Manage projects in all aspect of the plant(s) including material handling, conveying, food processing, blending / mixing, packaging, facilities and utilities
