Primary Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate business requirements and prepare the detailed functional and technical specifications that follow project guidelines

  • Work closely with Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure requirements and design are completely understood

  • Communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization

  • Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and project management groups

  • Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution

  • Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives

  • Ensure IT deliverables align with business requirements with measurable results

  • Collaborate with QA team to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processes

  • Lead and mentor other Systems Analysts

Seeking an energetic Business Systems Analyst to lead the translation of business requirements into actionable and unambiguous technical requirements for software scrum teams. We are building software products that will have a significant impact on the healthcare industry. This position will work within one of the largest companies in the US, but in a lean intra-preneurial team in the Boulder/Denver area focused on agility, speed, flexibility and fun.

You will work with business requirements holders, and with product owners, architects, designers, engineers and QA staff within a scrum team to deliver high-quality products and software development projects from inception to operation. The ideal candidate will have experience writing testable requirements & user stories for fast-paced scrum teams, documenting just enough to help the team quickly deliver high-quality features while providing clients their required traceability and documentation. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with Product Owners, engineering team and QA to ensure requirements & stories have unambiguous acceptance criteria and test cases.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Experience translating business requirements provided by SME's into traceable system requirements

  • Experience working with scrum/agile Product Owner and QA functions for just-in-time requirements delivery (sprint intake), continuous quality assurance, and acceptance

  • Knowledge and/or experience with a variety of requirements types & formats: Functional requirements, performance requirements, security requirements, use cases, user stories, FDD features, etc.

  • Experience working with architects and engineers in evaluation and validation of proposed solutions, data schemas, and features against business requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:



  • UnitedHealth Group work experience

  • Experience developing software or products for the healthcare industry

  • Experience leading, coaching and mentoring junior analysts onsite, offsite or offshore

  • Health care experience

  • Experience working with test plans and test cases

  • Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions

  • Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodology
