Primary Responsibilities:



  • Thinks strategically, and creatively, about how the consumer experience within UnitedHealth Group should look a few years out

  • Leads market and consumer research to inform the elements of future service model designs

  • Designs and develops solution models based on internal and external best practices

  • Articulates future state product vision and breaks down the steps to get there

  • Engages professionally with leaders across various business divisions within the organization

  • Supports the development of market and sales strategies and value proposition

  • Forecasts revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives

  • Prioritizes multiple demands and ideas based on available resources

  • Supports decisions and acts quickly and effectively to sustain progress

  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.

  • Navigates and influences multiple cross-functional teams in a complex, matrix work environment

  • Influences innovation across teams to ensure aligned, cohesive progress across multiple areas including technology, marketing, and service operations

  • Analyze market and understand size, segments, prospects and buyers

  • Set and track performance metrics and accurate revenue targets within product plan

  • Respond to revenue and profit budget variance and provide rolling projections

  • Ability to demonstrate ROI, including direct and indirect costs and product line profitability

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of marketing, product and/or project management experience within a matrix organization

  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and prioritize deliverables

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to be flexible

  • A self-starter who can operate well in a changing environment and sometimes ambiguous environment 

Preferred Qualifications:



  • MBA degree

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry

  • Able to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward

  • Adapt quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly

  • Creative problem solver

  • Naturally curious

  • Team player with strong ability to form working professional relationships

  • Experience using data and research to formulate logical business recommendations
