Sutter Lakeside Hospital and Center for Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving the health care needs of residents of Lake County and its surrounding communities. Our beautifully landscaped campus houses medical-surgical beds, an intensive care unit and a new 29,000 square foot state-of-the-art emergency room and surgical center. Other specialized are services are offered through our Family Birth Center, Physical Therapy Center, and Family Medicine Clinic.

Provides indirect and direct care to patients ranging in age/developmental stages from infants (pediatrics) to geriatrics with the main focus on adults to geriatrics, in the Outpatient Care Services Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to meet the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning and self-care needs of patients and their families. Able to anticipate changes in patient's condition and appropriately reports and resolves. Responsible for coordinating care of assigned patients and directing activities of ancillary staff. The Outpatient Care Services RN is responsible for comprehensive nursing care of patients in the outpatient care setting performed in association with nursing peers, physicians and allied support services. To provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing. Valid California R.N. license or interim permit to practice Registered Nursing. At least one year experience in an acute health care setting within the last year. Outpatient experience preferred.

Must demonstrate competency in basic nursing skills. Working knowledge of pharmacology. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must maintain valid BLS certification, current ACLS and PALS certification or enrollment in class within 6 months of hire. The ability to analyze and interpret general business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrates the ability to operate basic office equipment, i.e., fax machine, computer, copier, etc.
