About this job
The candidate will work closely with the software and hardware teams to develop test plans and test cases that will be used to qualify an array of high speed products (Secruity and encryption products). This test position is a contract with the possibility of extension or possible conversion (no guarantee). This position will involve mostly manual black and white box testing for the product during their bring up phase which will include testing performance in a simulated environment using test tools like Ixia and Spirent.
Qualifications
Must have:1. BSCE or BSEE (AS in engineering okay but not preferred)
2. 5+ years of manual software and hardware testing for devices including writing test cases, test plans, and executing plans
3. Experience testing in a lab environment using tools like Ixia, Spirent, Smart Bits, Digital Lightware and hardware tools like Oscilloscopes (must be able to configure PCs and LANs in a test environment)
4. Ethernet experience/fundamental knowledge (able to configure routers/switches)
5. Intangible skills like: conscienteous, competence, willingness to learn on their own (read a user manual, play with equipment, etc.), strong communication skills, solid work ethic, etc.
6. Active Security Clearance
Preferred:
1. Scripting experience with Tcl/Tk, Perl, etc.
2. Network secruity and cryptography
3. CCNA preferred
