Job Description:

Key responsibilities

• Email program strategy and planning

o Develop marketing strategies to support key business priorities such as new product launches, customer segment focus, or consumer acquisition goals

o Leverage analytics and tests to identify and create new email strategies to drive consumer retention and sales

o Lead ongoing review of global competitive landscape/trends in the marketplace

• Email content planning and creative development

o Drive campaign content planning strategy – build calendar based on product stories, key consumer segments, and relevant/seasonal consumer moments

o Develop automated email program content – leveraging program analytics to optimize content for performance

o Manage email project workflow – develop schedules; work with cross-functional partners to gather inputs; write creative briefs; provide creative feedback; gather approvals; manage production

• Database growth and analytics

o Drive email list growth: partner with cross-functional teams to maximize new user acquisition; develop and execute retention strategies

o Analyze email results to drive continuous optimization of 1:1 marketing communications

Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA in a relevant field

• Experience: minimum 6 years experience including relevant email marketing, CRM, or database marketing strategy/execution experience

• Approach: curiosity and enthusiasm to identify opportunities for analysis & optimization, and execute changes quickly. Must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible.

• Project management: Top-notch project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks involving internal and external partners

• Team management: ability to manage and lead direct reports

• Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence all levels of management

• Analytical: strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Judgment: ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment

• Industry knowledge: passionate about apparel and eCommerce

Additional qualifications

• Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM regulations

• Omniture experience

• Understanding of HTML

• Prior to retail and/or direct marketing experience

• Experience with global teams

• Foreign language skills
