Diesel Mechanic
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to become part of our family. This is a FULL TIME position working in our shop. Candidates should be self starters and not need constant supervision. Immediate opening for employment.
Requirements
*Minimum of four years truck mechanic repair experience
*Valid CDL license
*Complete a drug screening and background check
*Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds
*Ability to troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic and electrical systems along with brakes, clutches, ect.
*Ability to work outdoors on occasional road calls
*Must have a full set of your own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs (e.g. adjust/test/repair steering and steering components, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, rear ends, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines etc.) and related assigned duties within qualification level, test drive vehicles to ensure repair resolved the problem.
2.Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
3.Orders and keeps inventory of necessary parts and materials.
4.Torch cutting and welding.
5.Have the ability to work on gas and diesel engines, must be able to work on light, medium, and heavy duty trucks as well as equipment.
6.Load or unload equipment.
7.Any and all duties as assigned.
