CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree with 1 years of Administrative experience or;

Associates degree with 3 years of Administrative experience or;

Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70lbs on a daily basis

Valid Florida Driver's License

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Windows Internet Explorer.

Mailroom experience or knowledge preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Department of Military Affairs is committed to using its assets, including its human resource assets in a responsible manner to provide exemplary customer service to its entire people and the State of Florida The incumbent will perform the duties of this position in a manner that reflects this commitment.

Performs the receiving, sorting, delivery and distribution of all incoming mail and the processing of outgoing mail within the military district of St Augustine to include SFB, USP&FO, Mark Lance, C-12 Hangar and RFE armories. Ensure all accountable and sensitive mail is properly transferred to all addresses according to DOD 4525.6M. Complete mail handler training and obtain a Secret clearance in order to qualify for appointment as a Military Postal Clerk. Advise postal customers of proper mailing procedures and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Manage a State-wide interoffice mail system and maintain postal records adequate to complete monthly postal reports on the Automated Military Postal System (AMPS), quarterly installation Status Reports (ISR) and annually complete the Joint Committee on Printing (JCP) reports.

Receive and process print requests from units throughout the state; processing in the most cost efficient method.

Serve as the FLARNG Pubs/Forms manager; ordering publications and/or forms when requested by units.

Maintains the operation and postage budget of all electronic mail meters located at multiple units throughout the state of Florida.

Maintains inventory of all mailroom equipment and supplies.
