Objective:
The Part Time (4 days per week) Staff Coordinator/Scheduler is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of SCHEDULING service for Clients and professional CAREGivers. The Staff Coordinator is expected to be responsible for providing SCHEDULING services in such a way as to ensure the highest satisfaction for Clients and professional CAREGivers.

Primary Responsibilities:
Reflect the core values of D.A. Price, Inc. dba Home Instead Senior Care, an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise.
Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner.
Select the best possible professional CAREGiver for each Client.
Set up an introduction between the Client and the professional CAREGiver.
Oversee the professional CAREGiver experience and Client's Satisfaction by successfully monitoring, mediating, logging and reporting of Client and CAREGiver activity.
Successfully coordinate CAREGiver schedules on a daily basis to ensure reliable and not redundant service.
Accurately maintain and update CAREGiver and Client monthly schedules.
Accurately maintain and update CAREGiver and Client logs .
Accurately communicate all changes in schedule and client service to the Client and professional CAREGiver.
Conduct phone calls and face-to-face meetings with the professional CAREGivers to build rapport, identify their issues, and ensure a positive CAREGiver experience.
Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues, professional CAREGivers, and Clients.
Assist with supervising of On-Call Supervisor Staff
Assist with hiring and training the Assistant Staff when required
Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities.

Secondary Responsibilities:
Perform CAREGiver introductions as necessary.
Perform CAREGiving services as necessary.
Participate in CAREGiver meetings.
Assist other departments with filing, monthly reports, log books, time reporting system, etc
Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary.

Education/Experience Requirements:
18 years of age or older
High School graduate or the equivalent.
Must have scheduling experience
Have appropriate experience or training in the home care industry or closely related personal care services in accordance with agency policy, and
Has successfully completed training in the provision of personal care services.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
A current CNA license would be preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by established by D. A. Price Inc. , d.b.a. Home Instead Senior Care an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise. This position must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively. This position must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines.
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills. Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work.
Ability to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, clients and CAREGivers.
Ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone.
Ability to stand and walk during the course of a normal business day.
Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to reach with hands and arms to operate office equipment.
Must be patient and congenial on the telephone.
Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting.
Knowledge of the non-medical senior care industry.
