Summary of Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall efficiency and technical operations of the restaurant and ensure Freddy's standard of quality, timeliness, and service. They control labor and food costs, building relationships with guests, handle guest issues, and are a model of hospitality. Assistant Managers are responsible for training, refinement of staff and team building through employee motivation and personnel recruitment. Assistant Managers coordinate staff scheduling and product ordering with sales volume.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must enthusiastically meet guests needs and special requests
  • Review all schedules and forecasts
  • Coordinate opening/closing activities in a timely and safe manner
  • Ensure that all cash handling procedures are followed
  • Executing marketing programs including correct placement and maintenance of POP, suggestive selling, and consumer education
  • Must execute disciplinary action with all levels of personnel and maintain proper documentation as required
  • Ensure Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Internet, Gmail

Physical Requirements: (including but not limited to)

  1. Ability to stand and walk 10 hours/day
  2. Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry and stoop
  3. Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant
  4. Ability to move or handle items weighing 0-75lbs
  5. Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations
  6. Hazards include, but not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns
