JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst, Design & Development works on a team that is responsible for the maintenance and support of existing legacy systems. In addition, this role is responsible for the design, development and implementation of and conversion to Consolidated Inventory and Total Yield initiatives. Consolidated Inventory will be deployed globally to a minimum of 16,000 associates when full roll-out is complete.

THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Design, Development and Production Support - Provides the business subject matter expertise through the various stages of system design and development including: functional design, detail design, development, user acceptance testing, rollout installation, and training. Collaborates with AMS Production Support to review support tickets and provide direction on response. Monitors enhancements coming in from the market, works with Field Support teams to understand business justification, and logs enhancement requests as appropriate.
  • Vendor Relationship Support - Interacts with multiple project teams within the business, Information Resources (IR), various vendors, consultants, and technical team members.


DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION SUPPORT
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the CI application including production support and functional releases. Assists in the development of change management and process definition activities related to the implementation of the systems and technology.
  • Provide requirements of new application functions and features as well the triage, design/development and validation of fixes.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between multiple project teams within SIEMS and IR.
  • Works with business representatives to define analyze and define system project requirements for new features or production support items to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • This individual will be part of the business production support team, analyzing issues that are reported via the help desk, the Regional Business Analysts, and/or the market.
  • Thoroughly documents business process flows, data entities, and functional requirements to support systems development staff.
  • Solicits, analyzes, and prioritizes system development estimates and timelines.
  • Creates and manages user acceptance test criteria, scenarios and process.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to support Training Development on the creation of participant materials, facilitator guides and implementation materials.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for other initiatives in the building that have impacts to CI


VENDOR RELATIONSHIP SUPPORT
  • Works with Information Resources and the vendors (integrator) to analyze and design business processes for the production fixes and/or new features.
  • Ensures the fixes and new development is effective and appropriate for the Consolidated Inventory user community
  • Works on a cross-functional team with all SIEMS and IR teams (including other projects)

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
  • Minimum of year experience with MI Sales Systems and/or one year equivalent experience with System Life Cycle Development
  • Excellent working knowledge of systems and processes for each Marriott brand
  • Ability to collaborate with the team
  • Ability to work on several projects at a time maintaining focus on the task at hand
  • Comprehension of the business process for all Marriott brands
