About this job
Under the direction of the OR Manager, and general supervision of
the Circulating RN, assists in patient transport and positioning, as
well as housekeeping duties. Also acts as a courier to various
departments in the hospital and assists in meeting the overall needs of
the individual operating rooms relating to patient care.
Restock linen, bags, and non sterile gloves in all alcoves
Restock PPE at front desk, ICU, access points and OR12
Transports patients to and from hospital units.
Washes/sterilizes instruments.
Dusts all surfaces that collect dust, removes all trash from area and cleans all furniture and metal porcelain fixtures.
Maintains equipment for cleanliness and cleans work cart and restocks as needed. Reports any repairs that need to be done. Clean and fill mop buckets daily and stock turn over carts.
Qualifications:
Current BLS certification.
High School Graduate preferred, interest in the medical field.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Must able to push and pull up to 300 pounds on a bed or stretcher.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Good customer service skills.
