POSITION SUMMARY

Handle provider inquiries and problems via telephone, internet or written correspondence. Provider inquiries are of basic and routine nature.

Fundamental Components:

Highly self-motivated and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Interfaces with Providers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web and/or electronic mail to respond to inquiries and resolve issues or concerns. Must have effective verbal & written communication skills.

Researches, analyzes and explains information by effectively using technical tools in response to inquiries including but not limited to member eligibility and benefits, authorizations, claims payments, denials, and coordination of benefits

Verifies applicable contract terms and fee schedules

Educates Providers on our Self Service options

Assists Providers with Credentialing and Re-Credentialing issues

Documents interactions with Providers and completes transactions including appropriate adjustments. Takes full responsibility for following items thru to closure.

Possesses the ability to maintain production levels and quality goals and stay current on all required internal Compliance courses

Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Experience in a production environment.

Customer Service experiences in a transaction based environment such as a call center or retail location preferred.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.

Successful candidates MUST:

- Be flexible to work overtime

- Pass a mandatory drug screen

- Pass a comprehensive background check including verification of you employment and criminal record

- Be at least 18 years old

The shift is 8 hours long between 8:am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Over may be required as business needs dictate. Training for this position will be Monday through Friday for 8 weeks (classroom and on the job training). You MUST attend every day of training with no absences. Youll have service expectations and goals and will be monitored for efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
