POSITION SUMMARY

The Workers' Compensation Field Case Manager is responsible for assessing and analyzing injured employees to evaluate their medical and vocational needs. The Workers Comp Field Case Manager must facilitate the patients' appropriate and timely return to work, acting as a liaison between the patient/family, employer, providers, insurance, and other healthcare personnel. This is a field-based position in Redding, CA with expected travel of 50%. Travel is locally-based, and no overnight travel will be required When not traveling, the candidate will be working from home . Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.

This opportunity is eligible for a sign-on bonus. RN Case Managers who are bilingual and/or have previous workers' compensation experience are eligible for up to $5,000. RN Case Managers with no prior workers' compensation experience are eligible for up to $1,000.

The Workers' Comp Case Manager will:

* Travel daily in the field

* Monitor patient progress towards desired outcomes through ongoing assessment and evaluation

* Communicate both in-person and telephonically with injured workers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, claims examiners and more

* Arrange specialty referrals, consultations, and services that correlate with clinical guidelines to expedite recovery

* Uphold applicable state and federal workers' compensation disability regulatory requirements

* Complete activity reports, Substantiating all case activities carried out and services rendered

REQUIRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of employment

* Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience

* Strong computer skills

* Excellent communication skills

* Workers Compensation/ Occupational Health experience (required or preferred depending on location)

* Bilingual in Spanish

PREFERRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* Workers Compensation/ Occupational Health experience (required or preferred depending on location)

* CCM, COHN, CDMS, or CRRN license

* Case Management experience
