Warehouse Employee - Full-time / Part-time

Structure

The Warehouse Employee reports to the appropriate Warehouse Supervisor. The personnel leader is the Director of Warehouse.

Another Warehouse Employee will fill-in during an absence.

Objectives

To fulfill the distribution functions performed within the warehouse necessaryto service the division stores. To fulfill his/her responsibilities in accordance with the Company's principles of leadership and organization the Aldi Management System.

Responsibilities

1. Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently and within Aldi warehouse policy and procedures.
2. Act and decide independently  within the delegated area of responsibility.
3. To work in a manner that is consistent with the policies and procedures as outlined in the warehouse employee handbook.

Specifications

Education and Experience

At least 18 years old.  High School diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Skill of selecting products efficiently and accurately.
2. Ability to move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries; ability to place product weighing  up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
3. Ability to operate powered industrial equipment in a safe and proper manner.
4. Ability to perform general deaning duties to maintain warehouse standards for cleanliness.
5. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and/or apply Aldi warehouse operating policies and procedures.
6. Skill in verbal and written  communication.
7. Skill of performing basic arithmetic equations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
8. Ability to follow instruction and give attention to detail.
9. Ability to work both independently  and within a team environment.
