Sales Associate...Great Opportunity

Sales Associate for Batteries Plus Bulbs: help serve customers, solve their lighting and battery problems (we train you): learn battery and bulb technology, learn all aspects of retail and commercial sales/service organization. The position includes minor electronic repair, and becoming skilled in cellphone repair.

Customer Service / Sales
* Greet customers, determine needs and answer questions
* Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers
* Operate computer(s) to complete sales transactions with accuracy, perform product look ups and help customers.
* Provide advice over the phone
* Demonstrate a customer first mentality
* Become knowledgeable on bulbs and batteries to be able to help all sorts of customers (We train you!)
* Operate in a manner consistent with store values: open, honest, complete with excellence and pride

Big Plus: Experience and/or interest in minor electronic repair, smart phone repair including screens, buttons, jacks, etc is a BIG plus but not required.. (We will train you!).

Merchandising / Inventory
* Rotate and stock inventory
* Install batteries, perform tests and electrical repair (will train)
* Consult with customers on all aspects of batteries, lighting, bulbs and associated technologies
* Deliver products to commercial customers, processing corresponding documentation and providing tutorials on battery, lamp and fixture technology
* Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third party delivery companies: including filing reports, processing paperwork and following up with action items
* Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance
* Maintain retail shelf label pricing
* Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures
* Prepare store for daily opening and closing
* Maintain physical facility safety and appearance including: mowing lawn, removing snow, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain restroom cleanliness

Qualifications
* H.S. diploma/equivalent (preferred) and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail experience desired but not required
* Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's electronic retail and cross reference system; capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology
* Ability to make minor decisions and use some judgment within standardized procedures
* Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus; general knowledge of customer service policies/procedures
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
* Complete all required training and demonstrate understanding of all training in practice
* Conform to all store rules and requirements including operations, safety, and others as detailed in the employee manual or store instructions
