The Optum College of Insurance Program offers participants the opportunity to earn their health insurance license with the assistance of our team of licensed Mentors and with Connextions covering associated costs such as the pre-licensure course, up to 2 state exams, materials, licensure application fees, etc. Upon completing the program and passing your state exam, pending strong performance in the classroom, you will be offered a position as a Licensed Health Agent for one of our client accounts. This program is a paid training opportunity for a maximum of 40 hours. Participants will be expected to attend a 2 week session for 20 hours per week which will run from Monday-Friday from either 8:00am-12:00pm OR 1:30pm-5:30pm depending on class availability. This session will consist of class lectures & review sessions as well as working through online course materials. An attendance rate of 100% will be required for this 2 week session. All participants will be required to attend at least one pre-state exam session with an Optum team member to ensure that they are prepared to take their state exam.

Upon passing the end-of-course test, graduates will be scheduled to take their state exam at a state-mandated testing center which will be scheduled by our team for you. Upon passing the state exam, participants will be offered a position as a Licensed Health Agent for one of our top client accounts.

Minimum Requirements

In order to be eligible for the 2015 College of Insurance Program, applicants:

· Must have either some college education or 1+ years of relevant sales experience as well as pass a pre-screening interview

· Must be willing to make the time commitment to attend at minimum the 40 hour 2 week session.

· Must be willing to move into a Licensed Health Agent role after completion of course & passing of state exam.

· Must pass stringent background check with results which will permit licensure.

· Must be dedicated and eager to learn!
