Sales Representative

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales plans for each measurement application served by our company to be executed within the defined territory. At a minimum these plans should include targets for volume and margin and meet all corporate budget requirements.

Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of all of our instrumentation by application. This must include knowledge of the theory of operation of each instrument as well as the benefit of the instrument attributes to the customer s measurement application.

Conduct field sales calls to promote our products maintaining an average of 10-12 field sales calls per week. During these sales calls be able to run instrument demonstrations as appropriate to the customer measurement application.

Develop and implement creative sales strategies and related tactics consistent with defined market direction. Work with the collective sales team and our Leadership to continually refine and improve market strategies. Provide consistent and frequent formal feedback to management on effectiveness of tactics and strategies.

Generate proposals and quotes on a timely and professional basis to support opportunities developed during field sales calls using the standard our quote templates. Track and manage quotes to close (win) the business as quickly as possible.

Establish and maintain a SalesForce account to track sales activity by customer, product line and market segment to increase sales efficiency. Document all sales activity in the SalesForce system daily, meeting our corporate guidelines.

Generate sales forecasts for all customers and product lines on a monthly basis for review with management. Measure the effectiveness of the sales tactics in meeting the forecast revising the tactics and strategies as required.

Stay current on the competitive environment for each market application served by our instruments. Notify management of any changes to competitive sales strategies or customer measurement requirements.

Work in close liaison with other functions in the business to recommend product or service enhancements. In this capacity, also recommend new product lines that can be sold through the current channels to the market.

Develop and execute sales strategies to register our product lines on approved supplier lists with all multinational refineries, petrochemical, EPC firms and chemical companies within the defined territory.

Manage and train any third party agents that exist within the defined territory. This would include making sure the agent understands the our measurement approach and has adequate technical knowledge to properly present our product lines.

Develop and maintain a portfolio of target accounts, and pursue these accounts, along with those which arise opportunistically, to close sales commensurate with monthly and annual budget/forecast requirements.

Effectively negotiate with customers and partners to extract the best premium price for the value added by our company.

Position Requirements:

University degree in engineering or a hard science (chemistry, physics, etc.)

3-5 years of successful sales experience promoting a technical product.

1-2 years of experience working in a technical role with instrumentation.

Demonstrated ability to grow sales within a defined territory.

Experience using a CRM program to track and manage sales.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products.

Compensation:

Salary depends on qualifications and experience
