We are currently have 4 machinist openings we're looking to fill with an aerospace company in Kent, WA.

These positions are available on their weekend shifts, and weekly swing shifts, they're 6 month contract-to-hire. They will pay $17-20/hour for a Machinist 2 and $25-30/hour for a Machinist 3.

Their Weekend night shift positions are Friday-Sunday 5pm-5:30am where you work 36 hours. They also offer a $4/hour shift differential on the weekend night shift. Their weekend day shifts are Friday-Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm, you work a total of 36 hours. They also have openings on swing shift Monday-Friday.

These candidates will need to have experience setting up and operating 3 & 4 axis CNC mills. Must be okay with doing their own deburring and their own inspections.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Safely operate and run C.N.C. machines while keeping parts within allowable tolerances. Setup and run C.N.C. machines while making necessary adjustments.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Observe and implement Lean Manufacturing methods in all job assignments
Maintain spindle production
Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained througout the assignment
Change and adjust cutters under supervision as instructed
Learn and adhere to policies and procedures, particularly BQMS standards directly related to the work center
Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of general machining processes using a wide variety of machine tools
Understanding of CNC type machines and the processes they use, such as set-ups, monitoring, change-outs, etc.
Blueprint reading and intermmediate math skills
Good manual dexterity and mechanical ability.
Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions
Attention to detail and maintain a clean/orderly work area
Willingness to learn and, as required train others

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Machinist 2 year Certificate preferred

EXPERIENCE:
5-7+ YEARS
