This position will support M&V (Military and Veterans) by performing extensive chart reviews, coding hospital stays to DRG (diagnosis related group), tracking and reporting results and the recovery of overpayments.

We are looking for 1 Inpatient DRG coder with inpatient DRG coding experience to join our Clinical Claim Review team! You will be responsible for providing coding expertise in any of the following areas:



As
a potential government contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and
proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense
form SF85P.




Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reviews pre and post service claims for clinical eligibility for coverage as  prescribed by the Plan benefits.
  • Review and interpret Plan language.
  • Utilizes clinical guidelines and criteria.
  • Responsible for accurately documenting determinations.
  • Adherence to all confidentiality regulations and agreements.

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO or can be a work from home, telecommuting opportunity!

Requirements

Required
Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma/GED

  • CPC or AHIMA certified, (certified professional coder) Inpatient coding experience in the hospital, not outpatient  very will versed in DRG inpatient coding

  • 1+ year of inpatient coding/DRG (Diagnosis Related Group)
    experience

  • 2+ years of Inpatient and Outpatient experience in
    hospital coding

  • Computer skills, must be able to type and
    navigate around a Windows based environment and have a high level of
    accuracy with heavy data entry along with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel experience

  • Must have high speed internet access and a landline                  

  • United States Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following
    submission of Department of Defense form SF86 NAC form SF86



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Previous Military experience

  • Clinical Claims Review experience

  • 3M DRG Grouper software experience   

  • Familiar with Faye Brown and Coding Clinic
    software
