We currently have an opportunity for an experienced AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION MECHANIC to support building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as well as refrigeration equipment utilized for product environmental testing purposes at our Torrance , California facility. In this full-time hourly position you will install, operate, inspect, repair and overhaul a variety of HVAC systems throughout the plant site, and also perform work on environmental test chambers and other related equipment used in our product manufacturing and test areas.

You will need at least five years of experience as an A/C & refrigeration mechanic in order to take on the variety and complexity of our equipment. Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:
* D emonstrated experience with Freon usage, air handlers, and A/C split systems is required.
* Certification as a Universal Technician from the EPA is necessary.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills are needed.
* Knowledge of pneumatic temperature control systems is a plus.
* Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems is desired.
* Knowledge of cascade systems is a plus.
* Prior experience with chiller systems and hot water boilers is desirable.
* Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation for access to classified information requiring a security clearance.
