Due to a rapid expansion, Red Classic Transportation Services is looking for motivated, driven, competitive, energetic and dynamic individuals looking for a fast paced and fun environment. In this position, you will be in contact daily with customers, equipment operators while building relationships and helping our customers find creative solutions to their operational logistics challenges. As a Business Development Manager for Red Classic Transportation Services, you will focus on both the asset and non-asset aspects of our business. You’ll do this by helping our customers move their inventory in the most cost effective way by identifying and providing logistics solutions. You will create and manage your individual portfolio of accounts while working in a team environment. Business generated through inside and outside sales of industry referrals, prospecting, and business to business selling. You will be addressing concerns and implementing solutions for both established, as well as prospective customers.


Responsibilities:

• Proactively develop a new portfolio of clients
• Build and negotiate a book of business on a local and national level
• Negotiate client and carrier freight rates
• Take charge of client service issues through to the point of resolution
• Be the liaison between shipper, consignee, and carrier
• Build and foster strong relationships
• Be open to coaching and learning while putting in the time and effort to be successful


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Extensive sales experience in the brokerage/transportation industry (minimum of 2-5 years)
• Successful inside and outside sales track record in transportation industry
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Extreme multi-tasking ability
• Attention to detail and confident decision making skills
• Work hard – Play hard attitude
• Effective communication and customer service skills
