Within our stores channel, we sell a wide range of architectural coatings and sundry items to industry, builders, contractors, and home owners. Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Positively contribute to the Technical Services team by acting with integrity at all times and making safety a priority
• 
  Conduct competitive benchmarking: using standardized laboratory and application test methods to evaluate PPGAC and competitive products
• 
  Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service on product issues, launches, recommendations, cross-overs and application techniques
• 
  Lead product training for Technical Advice Center personnel, Sales Representatives, and customers
• 
  Provide accurate technical information on all PPGAC product lines
• 
  Investigate complaint resolution using various laboratory equipment and test methods
• 
  Provide complaint resolution using various laboratory equipment and standardized test methods.
• 
  Opportunity to travel to trade shows, roadshows, and jobsites

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years paint related experience in lieu of a degree
• 
  Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
• 
  Understanding of appropriate lab etiquette and ability to follow technical directions
• 
  Ability to analyze information in an expedited manner
• 
  Must be able to work independently and in a group in a self-managed team environment
• 
  Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, SAP knowledge is a plus

Desired Qualifications:

• 
  Experience in architectural coatings sales or field experience
• 
  Previous experience in retail sales, customer service or telesales
• 
  NACE, SSPC or MPI certification
• 
  Fluent in a second language (French/Spanish) is a plus
